I love working with clients on both
cat and dog commissioned portraits.
We have great fun putting the ideas together to create a completely original themed piece of art, which captures the character of people's pets in a fun and totally unique way.
To give you an idea of the process I use, here is a video showing the stages of a commissioned painting
titled: 'Spotland: A Dream of Scotland'.

Please note, my commission order book is now closed.
Sorry, I'm not accepting new commissions at the moment because my enquiry waiting list is booked up for the next couple of years.  However, i

Commission Enquiry
How It Works:
To paint a commission, I need a small selection of photos, brief character description(s) and any ideas you might have for the theme.  From these, we'll chat through ideas to ensure I capture their character(s) and the scene for the painting just right, perhaps some cheeky birdy or critter friends might join the fun too!  Once everything is agreed, I'll paint a small sketch to ensure you're happy with my interpretation - this can always be adjusted/fine tuned if necessary. Then, once you've approved the sketch, I'll begin work on the full sized painting. The medium I use for commissions is gouache paint on heavyweight watercolour paper.

Prices:
I offer 2 standard sizes for commissions, although larger scaled paintings are available upon request.
These are my current rates in GBP (£) based on a painting portraying one pet:

Size: 10" x 12" gouache on watercolour paper = £260 + shipping
Size: 11” x 14” gouache on watercolour paper = £320+ shipping

If you would like more than one pet portrayed, I charge £40 for each additional cat/dog- by the way, there's no extra charge for cheeky critters and birdies! A 50% deposit payment is required 2 months prior to the commission start date. Please note, mounting/matting/framing is not included.

If you are interested, please click the commission enquiry button above and when I re-open my order book I will send you a notification email - in the meantime, thanks so much for your patience.
